Job description

PURPOSE

The Lead Program Manager is a key member of the Elevate central PMO, responsible for helping translate strategy and priorities into an executable, integrated program plan. This role connects planning, governance, capacity, dependencies, readiness and executive decision-making across the program to create transparency, accelerate decisions and drive predictable delivery. The ideal candidate is a strong problem solver who is comfortable operating in ambiguity. They can take a complex cross-program problem, frame what needs to be solved, identify gaps and dependencies, engage the right stakeholders, and drive the issue through to recommendation, decision and action.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Integrated Program Planning: Connect releases, deployments, hypercare, environments, readiness and cross-program dependencies into an integrated view so risks and collisions are identified early.
  • Strategic Decision Support: Translate scope, capacity and timing constraints into clear choices, implications and recommendations that enable leadership to make informed prioritization and resourcing decisions.
  • Program Governance: Lead and continuously improve governance processes, ensuring they provide appropriate delivery control while removing unnecessary complexity and friction.
  • Decision Management: Increase decision velocity by clearly framing problems, alternatives, impacts and recommendations, and ensuring decisions are owned, actioned and closed.
  • Capacity & Dependency Management: Connect resource and capacity constraints with program priorities, sequencing and dependencies to identify delivery risks and required interventions.
  • Executive Communications: Provide concise, decision-oriented program insights that give leadership visibility to priorities, risks, dependencies and required actions. The formal requisition explicitly includes executive communications within the role.
  • Accountability: Reinforce clear ownership across business and delivery teams while the central PMO provides integration, transparency, challenge and decision support.
  • Scalability & Continuous Improvement: Identify where delivery relies on unsustainable capacity, intervention or ways of working and proactively drive improvements that allow the program to scale.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
  • Complex cross-program issues are turned into clear problems, options, recommendations and actions.
  • Leadership sees dependencies, capacity constraints and delivery implications early enough to make meaningful choices.
  • Elevate operates with an increasingly integrated view across releases, deployments and readiness.
  • Governance supports delivery and decision-making rather than becoming an administrative exercise.
  • Accountability remains with the appropriate business and delivery owners, with the PMO providing the integration and transparency required across the program.
