Job summary

BAE Systems, Inc. is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to join the Program Finance team in the United States.

The role focuses on leading analysts, partnering with program managers and teams to develop baselines, monitor performance, and investigate variances throughout the program life cycle. You will provide financial decision support to stakeholders, track and report on projects of varying contract types, and ensure compliance with DFAR/FAR, CAS and related systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field with 6+ years experience
• Experience with MS Office Suite (Excel)
• Ability to prioritize and self-manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem solving, research and analytical skills
• Ability to work cooperatively across multiple finance and non-finance functions
• Working knowledge of EACs, Budget Planning, and cost types/flows
• MBA or advanced degree is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead existing Analysts by example and mentor junior staff
• Serve as the financial business partner for key programs
• Develop program baselines, monitor performance and investigate variances
• Provide financial decision support to stakeholders to minimize risk and maximize return
• Track, analyze, and report on projects of varying contract types and sizes
• Support project execution with financial analysis from inception to closeout
• Prepare data for cost proposals, contract reviews, forecasts and variance explanations
• Participate in program and project reviews
• Ensure compliance with DFAR/FAR, CAS, and related estimating systems
