WSP USA is seeking a Lead Professional, Signal Engineer-CBTC to join our Transit and Rail/Systems Engineering practice. This role supports NYCT CBTC migrations from multiple offices in New York and New Jersey.
The ideal candidate has deep experience with fixed-block and CBTC interlocking logic, participates in design reviews, testing, and field coordination, and can communicate findings clearly with suppliers, designers, and NYCT operations.

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Lead Professional, Signal Engineer-CBTC to join our Transit and Rail/Systems Engineering in on of our New York or New Jersey offices. This position can be based out of: New York City, Valhalla-NY, Troy-NY, Lawrenceville-NJ, Morristown-NJ or Newark-NJ. The Signal Engineer provides specialized technical support and oversight of both fixed-block signaling and application to the CBTC system program. This position ensures that signal designs, interlocking logic, and mixed-mode block configurations are reviewed, validated, and approved in compliance with NYCT operational principles and safety standards. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of both traditional relay-based signaling and software-based interlocking logic, with hands-on experience to support NYCT projects. This role serves as a vital liaison between the supplier, designer, and NYCT Operations to facilitate design acceptance, support test readiness, and ensure system safety and operational continuity throughout the migration to CBTC.

Expected Salary (all locations): $123,700 - $182,000
