Job summary

Sumitomo Electric Wiring Systems, Inc. El Paso is seeking a Manager of Operations (Production Warehouse) to oversee about 140 associates, five supervisors, and 90-50 staff across shifts.

You’ll drive on-time delivery for automotive customers, coordinate with 12 plants, and optimize inventory control and shipments to 180 customers. You will lead process improvements, safety programs, and cross-functional collaboration while ensuring accuracy in receiving, shipping, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in production and warehouse operations and import experience required.
• Strong mathematical skills required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word) required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; bilingual English/Spanish required.
• Knowledge of sequential manufacturing, scheduling, international business, import experience preferred.
• FCA and Ford e-supplier portal experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor orders and ensure on-time delivery.
• Develop procedures and reports for metrics and management review.
• Handle requisitions, P&L reports, and GL corrections.
• Lead safety audits and OSHA compliance support.
• Recruit, train, and evaluate delivery/warehouse staff; foster teamwork and improvements.
• Manage receiving/shipping documents and inventory levels to meet demand.
• Issue 8D reports and lead investigations.
• Oversee shipping docs, BOLs, PLs, and timely customer delivery.
• Resolve inventory discrepancies and support periodic physical inventories.
• Review supplier performance and implement countermeasures with cross-functional teams.
