Job summary

Draper seeks a Principal Production Test Engineer in Cambridge, MA to guide production test capabilities for electro-mechanical and electro-optical systems used in GN&C, defense, and space. You will design in-process and final acceptance tests, develop test equipment, and codify procedures for Production Operations.

Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in engineering and 7–10 years in systems engineering. Defense background and ability to obtain government clearance are preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Computer/Systems Engineering or related field.
• 7–10 years in Systems Engineering or a related role.
• Defense background and ability to obtain government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Manage priorities, scope, schedule and cost baselines by monitoring program performance.
• Derive system-level I&T requirements and define tests and procedures.
• Mitigate I&T risks and implement corrective actions with risk owners.
• Develop and teach I&T best practices to engineers of varying experience.
• Create and maintain checkout procedures for Production Operations.
