Base pay range

$76,028.00/yr - $111,507.00/yr

Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a Lead Technician. This position will report to the Plant Manager.

The Lead Technician will be responsible for ensuring production requirements are met, and the facility is operated in a safe, efficient, and compliant manner. This is a front-line operations role that will respond to unplanned events, work independently, and make technical decisions and recommendations to ensure the reliable and efficient operation of the facility. This position requires a combination of office and field work. Accessibility during off-hours (laptop and cell phone) is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct plant’s daily priorities and activities, giving guidance and direction to technicians.
  • Ensuring technicians are trained and supported to maximize potential.
  • Proactively and effectively communicating with Area Facilities Manager on operating plan and deviations.
  • Drive improvements in productivity and cost savings.
  • Compliance with all applicable regulatory, policy, and internal engineering standards.
  • Reading and interpreting Electrical Schematics, Process Diagrams, and Electrical One Line Diagrams.
  • Troubleshooting plant process, or equipment problems, and implementing solutions.
  • Maintain QA program, facilitate customer and corporate compliance.
  • Coordinates plant interruptions, major outage and project work with management and reliability centers.
  • Maintains documentation of equipment and processes.
  • Responsible for process safety information related to plant activities (MOC, HWP).
  • Operates units to continuously supply products in quantities and qualities safely and economically, complying with all environmental regulations, quality standards, and daily customer requirements.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Associates in Applied Sciences Degree or equivalent apprenticeship preferred.
  • Minimum of three years Production Operations experience in an industrial environment strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of chemical plants, with a preference on industrial gas plant processes.
  • Experience with installation and troubleshooting of industrial equipment.
  • Working knowledge of Permit to Work (PTW) and Management of Change (MOC).
  • Excellent communication, team interaction, and presentation skills.
  • Self-starter who is comfortable working independently, effectively manages multiple tasks and achieves results with minimal supervision.
  • Must have a positive attitude, be willing to quickly adapt to changing situations, have strong communications skills, and a strong will to build and maintain productive relationships across departmental lines.
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Pay commensurate with experience. Open to salary range $76,028 - $111,507.
