Specialty Building Products is seeking a Production Supervisor at our Orlando, FL location. You will supervise and coordinate production staff, enforce safety and OSHA policies, manage quality, and train employees.

The role requires collaborating with HR, handling personnel issues, and ensuring continuous safe and efficient production. The position emphasizes adherence to safety programs (HAZMAT) and process improvements to minimize waste and defects.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate production co-workers to ensure smooth production.
• Enforce safety procedures and policies; maintain a hazard-free environment.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and other government agencies.
• Ensure proper execution of HAZMAT program.
• Ensure co-workers follow safety rules and behave safely.
• Drive overall product quality from production to customer receipt.
• Identify and correct quality issues to prevent recurrence.
• Train and pair new and existing employees for operations and safety.
• Collaborate with HR on employee concerns and grievances.
• Hire, train, evaluate, and address personnel performance issues.
• Analyze charts, work orders, and production schedules to determine requirements.
• Set and monitor product standards; ensure finished goods meet quality specs.
• Inspect materials, products, and equipment for defects.
• Manage production with minimal waste and errors.
• Participate in monthly safety committee meetings.
• Investigate accidents and implement corrective actions; arrange medical attention as needed.
• Conduct monthly site safety inspections and weekly toolbox talks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
