Job summary

PowerSecure is seeking a Lead Production Scheduler to strategically plan and maintain the Shop Floor Schedule (SFS), optimizing production efficiency and on-time delivery. You will guide a small team, balance capacity, and incorporate material availability into scheduling decisions.

You’ll work closely with production managers and leaders to forecast demand, drive improvements, and ensure scheduling accuracy across the shop floor in an engineer-to-order environment.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of production scheduling experience in manufacturing.
• APICS CPIM certification preferred or similar qualification.
• Proven leadership experience with 1–3 direct reports.
• Strong organizational, communication and forecasting skills.
• Advanced proficiency in ERP systems and MS Excel.
• Ability to optimize schedules and mitigate risks.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and maintenance of the Shop Floor Schedule (SFS).
• Mentor and provide performance feedback to schedulers.
• Delegate tasks to maximize efficiency and on-time completion.
• Support strategic scheduling initiatives to meet growth targets.
• Analyze and forecast plant demand using ERP (IFS/SAP).
• Develop KPIs for scheduling effectiveness and utilization.
• Collaborate with production managers and leadership to adjust schedules.
• Drive process improvements and resolve scheduling bottlenecks.
• Communicate with work centers and engineers on labor routing estimates.
• Support maintenance scheduling while maintaining productivity.
