Job summary

Day & Zimmermann is seeking a supervisor to oversee loading, assembly and packing of ammunition components, ensuring compliance with SOPs, TD requirements and hazardous materials handling. You will train operators, plan work for efficiency, monitor costs and quality, and enforce safety standards on a production line.

Responsibilities include maintaining accountable records, directing staff, coordinating with maintenance, and applying company policies in line with labor agreements.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required; AA/BA degrees preferred where stated.
• Supervisory experience in a production setting is required.
• Strong communication, leadership and record-keeping abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel and basic computer use.

Responsibilities

• Train, instruct and monitor operators to meet SOPs and TD requirements.
• Plan and schedule section work to meet production goals and utilization.
• Monitor costs, quality, tools, and equipment within area of responsibility.
• Enforce safety rules and respond to incidents and grievances promptly.
• Maintain records and coordinate personnel changes and equipment maintenance.
