Job summary

Bluegrass-Ingredients-Inc. in Glasgow, KY is seeking a Production Manager to lead daily manufacturing operations, drive safety, quality, and efficiency, and deliver planed output.

The role focuses on staffing, scheduling, training, and cross-functional collaboration across QA, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Engineering. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years in leadership within food manufacturing, strong GMP/HACCP/SQF experience, and proficiency with ERP/MES and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing Management, Food Science, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of leadership experience in food manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, FSMA, SQF and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with Lean/CI methodologies and/or root-cause problem solving.
• Proficiency with production reporting systems, ERP/MES, Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day production operations to meet KPIs (yield, throughput, downtime, waste).
• Supervise and develop production supervisors, leads, and hourly team members.
• Coordinate staffing levels, shift scheduling, and cross-training programs.
• Drive continuous improvement and standardization of work instructions and SOPs.
• Partner with Maintenance and QA to ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
