Flex-O-Glass, Inc. is hiring a Production Manager for our Chicago, IL facility. The role leads production staff, ensures line speeds and quality, and coordinates start-ups, shutdowns, and safety compliance.

You will manage schedules, materials, and equipment to meet production goals while coaching supervisors and developing employees. Candidates should have 5-7 years of manufacturing leadership experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work with a bilingual team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5-7 years manufacturing leadership experience.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
• Ability to work independently with strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Strong problem definition, data collection, and drawing conclusions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to multitask and manage competing priorities.
• Working knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations.
• Ability to supervise and lead a team, promote teamwork, and champion company culture.
• Operate material handling equipment including forklifts and overhead cranes.
• General computer skills including manufacturing software.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders regularly.

Responsibilities

• Ensure production lines operate at proper speeds and output.
• Oversee production supervisors, crews, and janitorial staff.
• Maintain safe, efficient machine conditions.
• Manage plant start-up and shutdown procedures.
• Ensure quality control procedures are followed.
• Coordinate raw material receiving and report concerns.
• Ensure health, safety, and environmental policies are followed.
• Coordinate production schedules based on manpower and equipment.
• Troubleshoot machine functionality.
• Coach and train new hires and supervisors.
• Disciplinary and accountability actions when needed.
• Verify correct blend of raw materials.
• Assist with other duties as needed.
