Lead, Production Maintenance

Monday-Thursday, 2:30 PM to 1:00 AM

Typical Base Pay Range: $40.00 to $48.00 (DOE & Applicable Licenses)

This Shift Also Carries a $2:00/hour Shift Differential

What You’ll Be Doing as a Lead, Production Maintenance:

Ensures that all facility maintenance, electrical and electro-mechanical related projects are performed efficiently. Provides coordination to employees engaged in equipment, machine repair, campus, and building maintenance. Responsible for the coordination of activities within designated areas.

  • Schedules, trains, and coordinates work activities of Maintenance Technicians to ensure work functions are being completed. Will be responsible to assist team members as needed.
  • Maintains supplies for repairs and maintenance.
  • Performs a variety of functions to repair and maintain all building and campus functions, production machinery and other equipment. May perform or assist in the performance of functions related to the repair and maintenance of equipment, such as motors, transformers, wiring, switches and alarm systems.
  • Provide regular progress reports and immediate notice on critical issues to the Maintenance Supervisor and others in leadership positions.
  • Coordinate the activities of Maintenance Technicians during new building construction or remodeling and installation of new and used equipment.
  • Responsible for accurate calculations and compliance on electrical and electronic circuits and components per state and electrical codes. Performs reviews of completed work for conformance to standards.
  • Maintains and supports a safe work environment.
  • Performs special projects and provides expert advice within areas of proficiency.
  • Adheres to all Company policies and procedures, including all safety requirements.
  • Implements and evaluates work procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Skills and Experience You’ll Need as a as a Lead, Production Maintenance:

  • High school diploma or equivalent plus four-year Oregon state electrical license .
  • Five or more years of maintenance related experience required including a thorough understanding of programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
  • Good leadership, interpersonal communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communications skills.
  • Proficiency in math and computer skills (MS Office).
  • Thorough working knowledge of equipment maintenance practices and procedures.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and welding.
  • Ability to read blueprints and diagnoses machine malfunctions.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of electrical currents, electromechanical systems, wiring diagrams, common electrical terminology and knowledge of Electrical code.

Work Environment for a Lead, Production Maintenance:

Work takes place in a manufacturing environment with occasional outdoor work and with exposure to noise and chemicals. Ability to use PPE. Ability to stand or sit for long periods; Good visual acuity, and ability to use full range of motion. Ability to lift or move up to 25 pounds with assistance. Ability to reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Ability to climb and work at high elevations.
