Job Description
The Lead Production Assembler’s core functions involve assembling, installing, servicing, shipping, receiving, and maintenance of the full Pure Processing catalog, with added responsibility for onsite installations and field troubleshooting of capital equipment as required.
Location : Onsite only; Lisle, IL. Hybrid not available. Must be able to travel nationally, as required.
What you’ll be doing
- Assembly of Pure Processing products, including but not limited to: creating pallets, mounting accessories to pegboards, wiring and channeling electrical cords, installing faucets, drain lines and other plumbing utilities, calibrating and testing equipment.
- Conduct quality control to ensure 100% of assembled equipment passes inspection prior to shipment.
- Perform on-site installation of equipment, ensuring 95% of installs are completed successfully on the first visit.
- Respond to critical customer field issues within 24 hours.
- Works w/Customers and Sales to resolve service issues (cases); resolves 90% of service cases within 3 business days.
- Travel nationally for on-site installations, field troubleshooting, and service case resolution.
- Cleans and wraps stainless steel sinks, tables, carts and other products for shipment.
- Ships and receives equipment; records incoming and outbound shipments including serial numbers, product cases, supplies and materials.
- Works with power tools and equipment to modify existing products for custom orders.
- May assist sales with questions regarding sinks, tables, electrical, plumbing, or other technical questions regarding products.
- Assists with troubleshooting products, either virtually or in the field/onsite.
- Maintains the physical condition of the warehouse, office equipment, and power tools.
- Other assembly, service, shipping and warehouse duties as required.
Skills & Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in related occupation
- Mechanically inclined; loves solving problems hands-on, and working in R&D or improvement projects.
- Strong technical and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience in mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, electrical, or similar work, medical installations, or other similar work is preferential.
- Unwavering attention to safety and quality.
- Forklift certified, or willing to become forklift certified.
- Ability to work flexible hours and travel nationally as required.
- Ability to speak, read and write in English.
- Must be comfortable working in potentially contaminated medical environments and complying with hospital PPE requirements.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
