Job summary

Tempo is seeking its first dedicated product security engineer to stand up application and infrastructure security from the ground floor. You will build real tooling, respond to incidents, and work directly with engineering to secure systems that onboard the largest enterprises onchain.

Responsibilities cover building tooling across endpoints, supply-chain, infrastructure, and app layers, leading incident response end-to-end, and partnering on secure design decisions to establish repeatable

Qualifications

• Hands-on security engineering experience in product or application security.
• Experience building security tooling, automation, and detection, not just recommendations.
• Strong incident response experience addressing high-severity events end-to-end.
• Deep knowledge of infrastructure security, hosting, network, monitoring, and integrations.
• Solid understanding of threat modeling, secure coding, vulnerability management, and supply-chain security.

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy security tooling across endpoint, supply-chain, infrastructure, and application layers.
• Identify and remediate security gaps in production systems and pipelines.
• Lead end-to-end incident response: triage, containment, remediation, post-mortems.
• Partner with engineering on secure design reviews and operational security decisions.
• Establish repeatable, practical security practices for building, deploying, monitoring, and securing systems.
• Improve supply-chain security across dependencies, build systems, and deployment artifacts.
• Scale application-security coverage as infrastructure and product surface grows.
• Operate with autonomy and build what's needed without waiting for large-company support.
