Job summary

Under Armour is seeking a Lead Product Manager for Platform Services to own the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of core platform capabilities powering our digital commerce ecosystem. You will translate business needs into scalable services, drive cross-team alignment, and deliver measurable improvements in conversion, performance, and operational efficiency.

The portfolio includes APIs, integrations, performance, observability, and foundational capabilities supporting our direct-to-consumer

Qualifications

  • 5–8+ years in a technical Product Manager/Owner role, ideally on a platform, infrastructure, or developer tooling team.
  • Deep understanding of ecommerce architecture including APIs (REST, GraphQL), headless commerce patterns, CDN/caching, and authentication flows.
  • Experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) or comparable enterprise ecommerce platforms.
  • Experience with platform/service-oriented architecture in digital or ecommerce environments.
  • Familiarity with SAFe/PI planning or similar scaled agile frameworks.
  • Excellent communication skills to translate complex technical concepts to executives.
  • Proven ability to define product vision and deliver measurable business outcomes.
  • Strong strategic thinking balancing long-term platform investments with near-term delivery.
  • Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
  • Advanced analytical skills with KPI definition and data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to lead multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate a platform vision, roadmap, and strategy aligned to business goals.
  • Lead initiatives from discovery through delivery and post-launch optimization.
  • Translate strategy into product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Leverage analytics and feedback to inform product direction and prioritize features based on impact.
  • Partner with engineering to evolve architecture, automation, observability, and AI-enabled capabilities.
  • Balance priorities across security, performance, tech debt, and feature enablement.
  • Own product performance metrics and drive adoption, reliability, and scalability.
  • Lead the platform squad and coordinate with cross-functional teams to align roadmaps and deliver shared capabilities.
  • Build stakeholder alignment and communicate progress, priorities, and risks clearly.
  • Create a product narrative showing how platform investments drive outcomes like revenue protection and cost savings.

Purpose of Role

The Lead Product Manager, Platform Services, owns the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of core platform capabilities that power Under Armour's digital commerce ecosystem. This role translates business and customer needs into scalable services, drives cross-team alignment, and delivers measurable improvements across conversion, performance, and operational efficiency. The platform portfolio includes shared commerce services such as APIs, integrations, performance, observability, and foundational capabilities that support our direct-to-consumer digital experience.

Your Impact
  • Define and communicate a clear platform vision, roadmap, and strategy aligned to business goals
  • Lead initiatives from discovery through delivery and post-launch optimization
  • Translate strategy into product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Leverage market research, analytics, and feedback to inform product direction and prioritize features based on customer impact and business goals.
  • Partner with engineering teams to evolve platform architecture, automation, observability, and AI-enabled capabilities that improve scalability and operational excellence.
  • Balance competing priorities across security hardening, performance optimization, tech debt reduction, and feature enablement.
  • Own product performance metrics and drive improvements in adoption, reliability, and scalability
  • Lead the platform squad while coordinating with cross-functional teams to align roadmaps, resolve dependencies, and drive successful delivery of shared platform capabilities.
  • Build strong stakeholder alignment and communicate progress, priorities, and risks clearly
  • Create a strong product narrative that articulates how platform investments drive business outcomes (revenue protection, cost savings, velocity gains, etc.)
Qualifications
  • 5 to 8+ years of experience in a technical Product Manager or Product Owner role, ideally on a platform, infrastructure, or developer tools team

  • Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Baltimore HQ office.

Base Compensation

$125,000.00-$165,000.00 USD Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position. UA is committed to helping our teammates succeed and advance in their careers. Base salary is only one component of our competitive Total Rewards package.
