Job description

Join the Tilt team

At Tilt, we see a side of people that traditional lenders miss. Our mobile-first products and machine learning-powered credit models look beyond credit scores, using over 250 real-time financial signals to recognize real potential. With millions of customers worldwide, we're not just changing how people access financial products — we're creating a new credit system that backs the working, whatever they're working toward.

The Opportunity: Lead Product Manager, Growth

We're looking for a Lead PM to own product-led growth across our consumer app. This is not a channel‑optimization or referral‑tuning seat: you'll own how new and existing users discover value, move through the product, graduate to higher‑value products, and adopt more of what we offer across the entire product ecosystem, not a single feature.

A core part of this role is building the frameworks that decide where we route users. You'll prioritize journeys for graduation and for the highest enterprise value, and turn that into a clear, shared view of where growth effort should go. To do that well, you'll lead and orchestrate the heads of our different product areas, aligning them on the opportunities and on the growth frameworks everyone builds against.

You'll be the most senior product voice on growth: setting the thesis, running the experiments, and making the calls on what we build to move activation, conversion, retention, and cross‑product adoption. That includes the judgment call on quality versus speed: knowing when a bet warrants a polished, durable build and when it should ship fast and rough to learn, and being able to defend which mode you're in.

We want a real product leader here. Someone who starts from the user, forms sharp hypotheses about why people do and don't move through the product, and validates them with research and experiments before we build. Strong analytics are assumed. Product judgment and user empathy are the spike.

How You'll Make an Impact
  • The growth thesis for the consumer product: where the biggest activation, conversion, retention, and cross‑adoption opportunities are, and why.

  • The frameworks that decide where we route users, prioritized for graduation and for the highest enterprise value.

  • The app structure and information architecture: how the product is organized and how we navigate users to the right place at the right time.

  • Retention as a first‑class outcome, not just top‑of‑funnel growth.

  • A prioritized experiment roadmap. You design the tests, define the hypotheses, and read the results yourself.

  • The end‑to‑end funnel from first touch through repeat engagement, including how users route between products and adopt adjacent ones.

  • Orchestrating the heads of our product areas to align on growth opportunities and shared frameworks.

  • Partnership with the leaders of Cash Advance, Everyday Money, Line of Credit, and Credit Card products to deliver best‑in‑class user experiences and returns across the portfolio.

  • The pricing structure, owned in close partnership with Credit and the heads of each product, to increase share of wallet and monetization across the portfolio.

  • The product‑pipeline thesis, owned jointly with Credit and the Head of US Core. You'll build the strategy, analysis, and thesis that determine which products are missing from our pipeline and worth building.

  • Flywheels beyond the obvious. We want net‑new growth loops, not another referral tweak.

  • Partnership‑driven growth opportunities that extend reach beyond the core product surface.

What the First 90 Days Look Like
  • By day 30: A clear diagnosis of the funnel and retention gaps, backed by data and user insight, with the biggest opportunities scoped and prioritized.

  • By day 60: An aligned, cross‑functional growth framework that the product‑area heads have bought into, from which the hypotheses and tests are derived.

  • By day 90: Initial tests live and moving a key metric, or cleanly disproving it, with a roadmap the team is aligned behind.

Why You're a Great Fit
  • Deep consumer growth experience. You've owned consumer growth end to end and can point to work that moved real business metrics.

  • Scale. You've scaled a product or growth function and can show the trajectory.

  • Genuine user empathy. This is essential and non‑negotiable for this role. You have strong instincts for what makes users move, and you back them with research, not just dashboards. It's the trait we care about most.

  • Hands‑on experimentation. You design and run A/B tests yourself and interpret the results. You don't hand this to an analytics partner.

  • Strategic range. You can zoom from a multi‑quarter growth thesis down to the copy on a single screen and back.

  • Judgment on quality versus speed. You know when to push for a fast, scrappy test to learn and when to invest in a durable, high‑quality build, and you can articulate why for a given bet.

  • Orchestration and influence. You can lead and align senior product and functional leaders without owning them, and drive a shared framework across areas.

  • Cross‑functional partnership. You partner deeply across design, credit, and the other product owners to deliver the experience and the returns, not just the metrics behind them.

  • Conviction under pressure. You hold a clear point of view and defend it with sharp reasoning, including against strong, opinionated cross‑functional partners.

  • A track record in fast‑moving environments where you owned a meaningful surface, not a sliver of a large org's roadmap.

  • Direct‑to‑consumer product experience is required. Subscription experience is a plus, not a requirement.

Don’t meet every qualification? We care about potential over your past. If you're bringing ambition and drive to what we're building, we want to hear from you.
