Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Product Leader to own the enterprise data governance platform, shaping strategy, roadmap, and delivery across business units. You will partner with InfoSec, Legal, Privacy, Compliance, and Data Engineering to implement governance controls, drive adoption of governance tooling, and ensure audit readiness, risk reduction, data trust, and accessibility across the organization.

Strong SQL skills and experience with Snowflake will be essential as you translate regulatory

Qualifications

• 7+ years in product management or product ownership.
• Experience leading enterprise data governance, security, or platform initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of data cataloging, metadata, access governance, lineage, and data quality.
• Experience with Snowflake and modern data platforms.
• Understanding of data engineering workflows and data warehousing.
• Familiarity with SOX, CCPA, GDPR or similar compliance.
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams.
• Strong SQL skills to analyze data and validate governance controls.
• Experience using AI-assisted tools such as Cursor, Claude, Copilot or similar.

Responsibilities

• Own product strategy, roadmap, prioritization, and delivery of the enterprise data governance platform.
• Lead governance capabilities including data catalog, access governance, data quality, lineage, metadata, and classification.
• Partner with InfoSec, Legal, Privacy, Compliance, and Data Engineering teams to implement governance controls.
• Define enterprise data stewardship, ownership models, governance policies, and quality standards.
• Translate regulatory and business requirements into scalable governance solutions.
• Drive adoption of governance tooling and establish governance best practices across business units.
• Measure governance effectiveness through audit readiness, risk reduction, data trust, and accessibility metrics.
• Collaborate with engineering to embed governance controls throughout the data lifecycle.
• Author product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and governance policies.
• Evaluate build versus buy decisions for governance and security tooling.
