Job summary

PhoenixAI, an enterprise database platform, seeks a Senior/Lead Product Manager to drive design for the database engine itself. You will conduct user research, write PRDs, and iterate on core capabilities at a deep systems level.

This role requires 8+ years in product management for big data or database products, with hands-on ownership of internals. You will collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

8+ years of Product Management experience in big data platforms or database products.
Deep ownership of database internals - query engines, storage engines, OLAP/columnar systems, or distributed DB architectures.
Comfortable using AI tools to drive product design and prototyping.
Ability to reason about technical systems and user workflows.
Experience with Agile / Scrum environments.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Drive product discovery and design for core analytical database features, translating insights into clear PRDs.
Design intuitive interfaces for core database capabilities and iterate based on user needs and market trends.
Partner with engineering, QA, and cross-functional teams to manage full product lifecycle from development to launch.
Own product quality and shape the roadmap for core database features.
Track post-launch feedback and drive ongoing optimization of features.
Manage full feature lifecycles to evolve capabilities with user and market needs.
