Job summary

Vitro seeks a Product Engineer to lead technical development and engineering for glazing systems, coordinating across design, launch and validation teams. You will ensure designs meet OEM requirements, manage part and interface specifications, and drive cost reductions while maintaining quality and schedule.

Based at Vitro facilities with occasional OEM and supplier visits, you will direct PD&E activities and ensure timely, manufacturable solutions aligned with company standards and customer

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required; 3+ years leading OEM product launches preferred.
• Familiar with Automotive glass industry, AIAG, APQP requirements, Product Development and Quality processes.
• Design release authority and leadership to supervise the design team; ensure timely, high-quality PD&E deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day design engineering activities and coordinate with Launch, Validation and other groups.
• Ensure designs meet customer and regulatory requirements; approve and release prints, specs, tolerances, and interfaces.
• Serve as technical liaison between OEM and Vitro personnel to reflect customer needs.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, purchasing and quality to drive continuous improvement and cost reduction.
• Ensure compliance with APQP/TS/IATF16949 for product engineering activities.
