Job summary

Google Inc. seeks a Lead Product Architect for Mountain View to drive design, integration, and validation of new technologies for Pixel devices.

You will lead a team of industrial designers and product managers in early definitions and collaborate across disciplines—including antennas, sensors, silicon, and batteries—to deliver iconic products. You will partner with global NPI teams to transition architectures to market, while ensuring manufacturability and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 12 years of experience designing mechanical components and assemblies (plastic/metal parts, PCB, or flexes).
• 12 years of experience using CAD tools such as 3D MCAD, NX, Creo, or Solidworks.

Responsibilities

• Design, analysis, and prototyping of new concepts.
• Collaborate with vendors and outside sources to see parts through to manufacture.
• Identify, integrate, and validate new technologies for future Pixel products.
• Collaborate with industrial designers and product managers on early product definition.
• Deliver iconic design and performance and discuss engineering tradeoffs across antennas, sensors, silicon and batteries.
• Partner with global NPI engineering teams to bring future products to market.
