Job summary

Plastipak Packaging, Inc. in Medina, OH is seeking a Process Tech Lead to oversee daily production in a blow molding environment.

The role involves supervising technicians, ensuring safety, quality and reliability, and coordinating with maintenance to keep equipment running smoothly. You will train staff, act as back-up Team Leader, inspect line setups and drive continuous improvement in safety, scrap reduction and process efficiency.

Qualifications

• Requires 2 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong problem-solving and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
• Safety-minded with focus on quality, reliability and housekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Train, develop and manage technicians to meet business needs.
• Act as back-up Team Leader as needed.
• Relieve Production Techs for breaks and lunches.
• Inspect line set-ups and monitor operations.
• Troubleshoot and repair machinery with mechanical and electrical skills.
• Control scrap, reliability and quality through process checks.
• Collaborate with Team Lead on performance evaluations and safety actions.
• Other duties as assigned
