What You’ll Do

Royal Technologies values training and development. We seek a hands-on, mechanically inclined individual eager to learn our injection molding processes. You will undergo a 9-12 month in-house training program designed to develop your technical skills and prepare you for a supervisory role.

This position is based in Hudsonville, reports to the Production Manager, and is supported by the Injection Molding Supervisor.

Core Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot injection molding processes and equipment, developing corrective actions and improvement ideas.
• Perform mold changes and equipment adjustments.
• Prioritize production orders and oversee quality to meet customer standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area with proper tools.
• Ensure machine safety and adherence to lockout procedures.

Other Responsibilities

• Assist in scheduling machine assignments and break coverage.
• Learn to lead a small team in daily production and continuous improvement.
• Practice writing and conducting employee performance evaluations.

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 55 lbs.
• Stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
• Bend and stoop as needed.
• Use fingers, hands, and arms dexterously.
• Maintain hand-eye coordination.
• Wear approved safety glasses at all times.

Compensation and Benefits

Starting Wage: $21.65+/hr + quarterly bonuses

Qualifications

• Hands-on technical experience (e.g., maintenance, process tech).
• Experience with injection molding equipment is a plus.
• High school diploma/GED or 3-5 years manufacturing experience.
• Willing to work 45-50 hours/week.
• Training on 1st shift (8am-4pm) required, with current shift options being 2nd (4pm-12am) or 3rd (12am-8am).
• Interest in leadership development; prior leadership experience is a plus.
