Job summary

Alltrista Plastics LLC is seeking an experienced Process Engineer to optimize plastic molding processes at the Greenville, SC site. You will drive mold process development, parameter setup, and CIM integration to improve quality and throughput.

The role requires a four-year degree in Engineering or Plastics, plus about five years of processing experience and strong knowledge of DOE, SPC, Mold Flow analysis, and FMEA.

Qualifications

  • Four-year degree in Engineering or plastics-related field.
  • At least 5 years of processing experience in plastics.
  • Understanding of modern injection molding techniques and processes.
  • Familiarity with DOE, SPC, Mold Flow analysis and FMEA.
  • Ability to analyze data and solve problems with urgency.

Responsibilities

  • Performs mold process development using a scientific approach to optimize process and meet specs.
  • Develop, document and implement procedures to determine process parameters for production scheduling.
  • Establish manufacturing parameters on molds using mold balance, gate freeze and viscosity studies.
  • Provide direction to supervisors for mold maintenance and improvements.
  • Create customer-ready results through sampling and problem-solving.
  • Lead CIM implementation and train site personnel on CIM usage.
  • Recommend designs for equipment and support R&D programs.
  • Maintain documentation for all samples, processes and issues.
