Ecolab's Clearing, IL facility is seeking a Principal Process Engineer to lead advanced process engineering for colloidal and latex manufacturing. This role partners with operations to drive safety, quality, and productivity improvements across multiple unit operations.

The candidate will serve as SME for colloidal silica processes, mentor operations teams, and lead initiatives in process visualization, SPC, and capital projects focused on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
7 years of chemical manufacturing experience.
Experience in a Process Safety Management facility.
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.
Proficient in MS Office suite.
Experience with DCS, PLC, and HMI systems.

Responsibilities

Lead process engineering efforts and guide colloidal and latex manufacturing.
Serve as SME for colloidal silica processes to improve safety, quality, productivity.
Develop autonomous operations teams through process analysis and troubleshooting.
Support safety culture and lead CAPEX projects focused on quality and efficiency.
Act as plant contact for new product scale-up and SPC development.
Collaborate with quality and engineering to implement best practices.
