Job summary

Fiat Wealth Management in Des Moines, IA is seeking a Lead Private Wealth Manager to own and grow a substantial book of high-value client relationships. This senior role mentors Associates and collaborates with Client Service, Paraplanning, Tax, Insurance, and investment teams to set service standards and drive growth.

The ideal candidate pursues excellence in client outcomes, compliance, and leadership, with a track record of asset growth and high-net-worth planning.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a financial advisor or wealth manager, with a proven record of gathering assets and retaining clients.
• Active Series 65 license required.
• CFP designation strongly preferred; CFA, ChFC, or CPA/PFS also valued.
• Deep knowledge of investments, retirement income, tax, insurance, and estate planning for high-net-worth families.
• Experience mentoring, coaching, or leading other advisors or support staff preferred.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills, including presenting to groups.
• Strong organization, follow-through, and personal accountability.
• High degree of professionalism, integrity, discretion, and confidentiality.
• A clean regulatory and compliance record.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted advisor and primary relationship manager for a large book of complex, high-net-worth households.
• Lead comprehensive annual reviews and advanced planning across investments, retirement income, cash flow, tax, insurance, estate planning, business succession, beneficiaries, and legacy goals.
• Drive significant new asset and revenue growth through referrals, professional networks, centers of influence, and personal prospecting, alongside Fiat-generated opportunities.
• Lead high-value prospect meetings using Fiat's discovery, planning, and sales process.
• Present Fiat educational workshops, webinars, and referral events.
• Mentor and coach Associate Private Wealth Managers through joint meetings, case reviews, and regular feedback.
• Ensure client communications are answered within one business day and requests are handled within service standards across the team.
• Prepare thoroughly for meetings, keep CRM documentation complete, assign and monitor follow-up tasks.

Education

Active Series 65 license

CFP designation preferred
