Job summary

Modern Government Solutions (MGS) is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to lead the architecture, deployment, and sustainment of enterprise engineering platforms in support of national security missions.

You will drive automation, integration, and infrastructure improvements across secure cloud environments, serving as the technical lead for Teamwork Cloud and Cameo while coordinating across teams to ensure platform health and mission readiness.

Qualifications

• Active DoD TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph.
• DoD 8140 requirements including Security+ CE.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 16+ years of experience architecting and deploying enterprise platforms in cloud environments.
• Experience with Teamwork Cloud, Cameo, Cassandra, and AaC/CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience integrating enterprise apps with ServiceNow or similar solutions.
• Experience with relational/non-relational databases (Cassandra, MySQL, MongoDB).
• Experience IdAM: AD, SAML, OpenLDAP, OAuth 2.0, OIDC.
• Scripting in Python, PowerShell, Groovy; testing, validation, troubleshooting, documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, deployment, and sustainment of enterprise engineering platform environments.
• Serve as technical lead for Teamwork Cloud, Cameo, and related tools in secure cloud infrastuctures.
• Drive automation, integration, and infrastructure improvements for reliability and mission readiness.
• Define technical roadmaps and own health and performance of environments.
