Job summary

West Pharmaceutical Services, Inc in Exton, PA is seeking a Principal Solution Architect, Reporting & Analytics, to own the design and delivery of Fabric-based data solutions and Power BI analytics. You will work across teams and time zones to implement end-to-end BI solutions, dashboards, and governance.

The role requires hands-on Fabric, Power BI, data warehousing, and enterprise reporting experience, with leadership of a small technical team and collaboration with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
•  Minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
•  Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, data warehousing, BI development, prototyping, and technical spec creation.
•  Advanced data modeling within Fabric Lakehouse/Warehouse and Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME in designing and implementing Microsoft Fabric solutions (Data Engineering, Data Factory, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Power BI).
• Develop dashboards, KPIs, and scorecards from multiple data sources.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather reporting requirements and build Fabric Lakehouse structures.
• Lead data models, medallion architecture, and semantic models with Architecture teams.
• Build Fabric pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, notebooks, and connectors for data ingestion.
• Design Lakehouse and Warehouse tables using star schemas and slowly changing dimensions.
• Optimize data pipelines, incremental refresh, and Power BI performance.
• Develop Power BI solutions using DAX, measures, RLS, and advanced visualizations.
• Use Fabric features like OneLake, governance, and capacity management.
• Support demonstrations, proofs of concepts, and end-to-end BI project delivery.
