Job description

Job Description

We are seeking a product management leader with deep expertise in databases, data management, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise migration who is passionate about making Oracle Cloud the ideal destination for mission‑critical open‑source data and messaging workloads.

As a Principal Product Manager, you will own a major strategic product area that reaches across organizations and influences LOB outcomes. You will translate customer migration patterns, competitive signals, field insights, and technical constraints into a coherent strategy, then lead cross‑functional execution through influence. Success in this role means customers choose OCI because the migration path is clearer, operational risk is lower, the economics are stronger, and Oracle is the trusted platform for their most important data.

This is a high‑impact individual contributor role for someone who can operate fluently from executive narrative to technical design review. You will partner with engineering, marketing, sales, support, cloud architects, and strategic customers to define what we build, why it matters, and how we bring it to market at LOB scale.

Responsibilities
  • Own and continuously evolve the product roadmap, translating customer needs and market signals into a clear, prioritized plan.
  • Maintain a sharp, current view of the competitive landscape and industry trends, and use it to sharpen our differentiation.
  • Partner closely with Engineering to ship services that meet real customer needs at industry-leading price-performance.
  • Drive crisp service launches end to end — plan announcements, scope beta programs, and coordinate testing to a high bar.
  • Work with Corporate and Field Marketing to communicate the value of our services in language customers and decision‑makers act on.
  • Create high‑impact collateral — technical and business white papers, success stories, data sheets, best‑practice guides, and presentations.
  • Enable the field by delivering hands‑on training to Customer Support, Technical Sales, and key customers.
  • Represent the portfolio externally at user groups, trade shows, customer sites, industry conferences, analyst briefings, and the Oracle Customer Visit Center.
  • Build deep relationships with strategic customers to understand how they plan to transform their business and where Oracle can deliver meaningful value.
  • Represent the product area with LOB leadership and cross‑organizational stakeholders, providing clear recommendations on roadmap priorities, investment decisions, and strategic tradeoffs.
  • Build relationships with strategic customers and partners, represent Oracle externally for your product area, and use those engagements to validate product direction and accelerate OCI adoption.
  • Mentor and coach product managers and peers, raising the quality of product thinking, customer insight, and decision‑making across the team.
