Job summary

HiFyve in Rome, GA is hiring a Press Lead to run a production shift in our wide web flexographic printing operation on a 12-hour, 3/2 rotating schedule. This is a player-coach role, supervising the shift’s press crews, keeping production on schedule, and developing operators and apprentices.

You will serve as the link between the floor and management, drive quality, and lead Kaizen and safety initiatives as needed. Compensation is $30–$34/hour with a $1.50/hr night differential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a supervisory or lead role in a production environment.
• High attention to detail for paperwork and system entries.
• Working knowledge of Windows and business operating systems.
• Ability to read job tickets and give clear verbal direction.
• Math skills and ability to use tape measures and micrometers.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Experience with effective teams, project management and continuous improvement.
• Color vision sufficient to support press setups and print quality.

Responsibilities

• Supervise production associates on your shift and coordinate activities to hit daily production goals.
• Monitor processes for safety, quality and productivity compliance.
• Review schedule, staffing, and tie-in with the prior lead.
• Run setup and start-up procedures with urgency for timely press start-ups.
• Drive quality control to ensure First Time Right product, including auditing roll-to-roll checks.
• Train, coach and evaluate team members; track training completion.
• Ensure every associate is quality certified and completes required training.
• Keep accurate records of output, downtime, scrap and safety incidents.
• Work with maintenance to minimize unplanned downtime through CMMS.
• Partner with quality, maintenance and logistics to minimize disruptions.
• Lead Kaizen events and quarterly safety and scrap projects; bring improvement ideas.
• Act as first point of contact for shift issues and elevate as needed.
• Support the Shift Supervisor on progressive discipline.
• Back up direct reports on critical tasks when needed.
