The Goddard School of Flemington is seeking an experienced Lead Teacher for a full-time, Monday–Friday position in Flemington, NJ. The role emphasizes creating engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences and building strong relationships with children and families.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a preschool, childcare center or early childhood education environment.
• 1–2+ years of relevant classroom experience preferred.
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
• Ability to confidently lead a classroom.
• Excellent communication skills with families and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences.
• Create a warm, organized, nurturing and safe classroom environment.
• Support children's social-emotional, cognitive, language and physical development.
• Encourage learning through play, exploration and discovery.
• Build positive relationships with children and families.
• Maintain regular and professional communication with parents.
• Observe and document children's developmental progress.
• Guide and collaborate with Assistant Teachers and staff.
• Maintain consistent classroom routines and expectations.
• Follow New Jersey childcare licensing, health and safety requirements.
• Participate in professional development and ongoing training.
