The Lead Preschool Teacher is expected to engage in ongoing learning to deepen understanding of child development and promote quality early childhood services.

Essential Responsibilities

• Structure a learning environment that promotes child health and safety
• Plan and lead developmentally appropriate classroom instruction
• Actively engage with families to keep them informed about their child's program
• Implement a developmentally appropriate daily schedule including transitions and age-appropriate activities
• Create a safe, warm, and nurturing environment conducive to learning
• Support implementation of behavior plans and/or IFSP/IEP goals as appropriate

Essential Qualifications (Must Have At Least One)

• NYS Teaching Certification B-2 or Equivalent
• BA in ECE and currently pursuing MA/Teacher certification (Study Plan Eligible)
