Job summary

Tiny Town Childcare & Learning Center in Ohio is seeking a Lead Preschool Teacher to lead our second preschool classroom with a small class size of 9 children. You’ll create engaging, hands-on experiences that build kindergarten readiness and lifelong curiosity.

You’ll plan and deliver literacy, math, science, and social studies activities, partnering with families daily. The role emphasizes a safe, supportive, and joyful learning environment with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Experience working with preschool-aged children in a licensed childcare setting preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CDA, Associate Degree, or coursework in Early Childhood Education is preferred.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to actively engage with children throughout the day, including sitting on the floor, bending, lifting up to 40 pounds, and participating in indoor and outdoor activities.

Responsibilities

• Planning engaging, play-based lessons that encourage kindergarten readiness.
• Teaching early literacy, phonics, math, science, and social studies through hands-on experiences.
• Helping children build confidence, independence, problem-solving skills, and a lifelong love of learning.
• Supporting social and emotional development by teaching kindness, friendship, teamwork, emotional regulation, and conflict resolution.
• Creating a classroom where children feel safe, encouraged, and excited to explore.
• Building strong partnerships with families through daily communication.
• Maintaining a clean, organized classroom while following Ohio licensing requirements.
