Job summary

The Weston School is seeking a Lead Teacher to oversee the classroom operations and drive a developmentally appropriate curriculum that promotes social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth. Qualifications

• Experience leading a classroom in early childhood education.
• Ability to mentor an Assistant Teacher and collaborate with families.
• Strong communication with parents and center leadership.
• Proficiency in maintaining portfolios and tracking student progress.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement a weekly curriculum aligned with developmental goals and state standards.
• Conduct ongoing assessments and maintain student portfolios per company standards.
• Communicate with parents through bi-annual conferences about progress and home strategies.
• Ensure compliance with Indiana licensing, CACFP, and Paths to Quality guidelines.
• Lead a clean, organized classroom and support tour readiness.
• Mentor the Assistant Teacher and collaborate with center leadership and families.
