Role Description
This is a part-time on-site role for a Lead Preschool Teacher at Miami Lakes United Methodist
Preschool located in Miami Lakes, FL. The Lead Preschool Teacher will be responsible for
implementing developmentally appropriate daily lessons for the students in the class using the
school’s curriculum. In addition to providing a safe and nurturing, learning environment, our
teachers are also responsible for collaborating with other staff, administration, and parents to
ensure the best possible outcomes for the children.
Qualifications and Other Responsibilities
DCF 45 Hours of Early Childhood Training
First Aid & CPR Training
CDA or FCCPC or be in the process of obtaining it (preferred)
A love for children
Knowledge of best practices in early childhood education
Good classroom management
Maintain a developmentally appropriate classroom
Guide children in making connections with Christian principles and values
Familiarity with Florida Early Learning and Developmental Standards
The ability to maintain a professional demeanor towards staff and school families
Must be agile and energetic, able to stand for extended periods of time, able to kneel, sit
on the floor, run, and squat when needed
Job Type: Part-time; 35 – 39 hours per week
Schedule: Monday – Friday
Pay: $12.00 – $15.00 per hour
