Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• Meets all state minimum standards; CDA/AA/BA in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a licensed child care facility.
• Demonstrates spiritual leadership and alignment with Lionheart's mission and values.
• Maintains positive relationships with peers and families; strong communication skills.
• Criminal background check required.
• Models a Christ-centered life and integrates faith into daily work.

Responsibilities

• Lead Teacher will mentor new teachers within the age group, providing classroom observation, feedback, and onboarding support.
• Assist with skills verification and practical training for new hires using orientation tools.
• Model best practices in classroom management, curriculum implementation, and spiritual integration.
• Support development of a positive, collaborative team culture.
• Engage families through daily communication, milestone sharing, and spiritual updates.
• Participate in staff meetings and academy events; assist with special projects as needed.
