Job summary

The Goddard School in Leesburg, VA is seeking a Lead Teacher to coordinate daily classroom operations, plan engaging activities, and ensure a safe, nurturing environment for children aged six weeks to six years. You’ll work closely with families and staff to deliver quality customer service.

Qualifications include an Associate or BA in Early Childhood Education or related field, CDA preferred, 1–2 years of experience, and readiness to meet background checks.

Qualifications

• Associate or BA in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
• Child Development Associate (CDA) preferred.
• 1–2 years of prior teaching experience preferred.
• Completed state-required pre-service training.
• Ability to build relationships with children, parents and staff.
• Capable of multi-tasking and maintaining classroom operations.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Lead teachers coordinate daily operations of assigned classes.
• Plan, present, and evaluate educational and recreational activities for childcare in a safe environment.
• Work directly with children and parents daily to provide quality customer service.
