Job summary

OHCAC Head Start is hiring for roles on the Learning team to support preschoolers through developmentally appropriate activities and collaborative teaching. The program focuses on high-quality early childhood education in a multi-site setting across Marion, Morrow, Crawford, and Richland counties with a strong emphasis on family engagement.

Ideal candidates hold an associate degree in Early Childhood Education or higher, with preschool teaching experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or advanced degree in Early Childhood Education preferred; at least an associate degree with preschool-teaching experience required.
• Experience teaching preschool-age children preferred.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Help maintain exciting, caring, nurturing learning environments to foster exploration.
• Participate in a cooperative team of at least two teachers per classroom.
• Cultivate growth through curriculum activities indoors and outdoors.
• Design and implement developmentally appropriate activity plans based on assessment data.
• Engage parents to enhance child development and act as liaison to community resources.
