Job summary

Spokane Colleges is seeking a Head Start/ECEAP Early Childhood Program Specialist 3 to support preschool classrooms and families. Under general supervision, you will implement curriculum and provide services including home visits, in line with HS Performance Standards and state regulations.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in a related field, strong communication, and the ability to coordinate multiple activities in a busy program. 9.5-month schedule with potential for advancement.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of early childhood education theory and practices.
• Ability to implement curriculum and assess child development.
• Strong communication and parental engagement skills.
• Ability to comply with state/federal regulations and performance standards.
• Experience with planning and coordinating classroom activities.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a safe, developmentally appropriate learning environment.
• Partner with parents to support child development goals and create CIP/IEP plans.
• Implement education curriculum responsive to children’s needs and interests.
• Assess children’s development to inform curriculum.
• Plan and evaluate classroom activities and supervise aides/students/volunteers.
• Promote children’s health and conduct home visits as needed.
• Build relationships with families and community partners.
• Collaborate with classroom team and participate in trainings.
