Job summary

Cadence Education in Ashland, MA is seeking a Preschool/Pre-K Lead Teacher to create a warm, welcoming classroom and lead curriculum delivery. You will engage with families daily, support diverse learners including those with IEPs, and ensure safety and professionalism in all activities.

The role requires an associate or bachelor’s in early childhood education (preferred) and state licensing compliance. Prior childcare experience is desirable; this is a full-time, on-site position with growth

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
• Must meet state licensing requirements to work in a licensed childcare center.
• Experience in childcare, daycare, or preschool education is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Build positive, professional relationships with children and families.
• Recognize and respond to diverse developmental, behavioral, cultural, and learning needs, including implementing IEPs and behavioral support plans as required.
• Plan, implement, and document developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with Cadence educational philosophy and Signature Programs.
• Use Cadence-required systems and communication tools to communicate professionally with families, coworkers, and leadership.
• Maintain a safe and well-supervised classroom following Cadence Education Safety and Supervision Manual.
• Accurately document and report accidents, incidents, and escalated behaviors in line with policy and licensing requirements.
• Follow all Cadence Education policies, procedures, and standards in the Employee Handbook.
• Participate in required trainings, meetings, and professional development, which may occur outside regular hours.
