Job summary

Lollipop Land Child Care in Rigby, ID is seeking a Lead Teacher for our 3-4 year old classroom. You will guide a small team, develop engaging lessons, and ensure a nurturing, safe learning environment that aligns with licensing standards.

As the Lead Teacher, you’ll train staff on CACFP, maintain meal and allergy records, communicate with families via Procare, and coordinate classroom events while modeling leadership and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Develop age-appropriate lesson plans with director using center curriculum
• Create a nurturing, safe and engaging classroom environment
• Train new staff on CACFP food program, including meal documentation
• Maintain CACFP records: daily meal counts, menus, allergies
• Oversee classroom cleaning schedule to ensure cleanliness and safety
• Communicate with parents via Procare for updates and reports
• Hold biannual parent-teacher conferences and address development goals
• Plan classroom events and holidays
• Set standards for classroom management and organization
• Serve as a role model with professionalism and leadership
• Communicate concerns promptly with the Director
• Collaborate with staff to support center objectives
• Monitor and document growth and share progress with families
• Ensure classroom meets licensing and safety requirements

Lollipop Land Child Care is looking for a dedicated, energetic, and experienced Lead Teacher to join our team and lead our 3-4 year old class! We’re seeking someone who is passionate about early childhood development, values a calm and nurturing environment, and is ready to guide a team with positivity and professionalism.

Position & Location

Position: Lead Teacher - 3-4 Year Old Classroom

Location: Lollipop Land Child Care 415 Farnsworth Way Rigby, ID 83442

Shift: Monday-Friday 7:00-3:30

Responsibilities

• with directors help develop age-appropriate lesson plans following center curriculum
• Create a nurturing, safe, and engaging classroom environment
• Train new staff on the CACFP food program, including meal documentation and compliance
• Maintain accurate CACFP records, including daily meal counts, menus, and allergy tracking
• Create and oversee the classroom cleaning schedule to ensure cleanliness and safety
• Communicate regularly with parents using Procare for updates, messages, and daily reports
• Conduct biannual parent-teacher conferences and address individual child development goals
• Plan and coordinate classroom holiday parties and special events
• Set the standard for classroom management and organization
• Serve as a role model for coworkers by demonstrating professionalism, positivity, and leadership
• Communicate classroom or child-related concerns promptly with the Director
• Collaborate with co-teachers, assistant teachers, and administration to support center-wide objectives
• Monitor and document each child’s growth and development, sharing progress with families
• Ensure classroom meets all licensing and safety requirements
