Qualifications

• Experience teaching children ages 23 in an early childhood setting.
• Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practice.
• Warm, patient, dependable, creative, and enthusiastic.
• Understands the importance of connection, emotional regulation, and positive guidance.
• Can confidently lead a classroom while collaborating respectfully with colleagues.
• Enjoys planning engaging, hands-on learning experiences.

Responsibilities

• Build trusting, responsive relationships with children and their families.
• Develop and lead engaging, project-based Topic Studies inspired by children's interests and developmental needs.
• Foster emerging independence, communication, creativity, problem-solving, and social-emotional development.
• Guide children through everyday challenges with patience, empathy, consistency, and developmentally appropriate expectations.
• Design a stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration, discovery, and meaningful play.
• Collaborate with classroom colleagues and school leadership to support children's growth.
• Document children's learning, plan weekly experiences, and communicate thoughtfully with families.
• Observe and assess children's development to thoughtfully guide future learning experiences.
