Job summary

Primrose School at Macland Pointe is seeking a Lead Teacher to foster curiosity, creativity, and compassion in young learners. You will create a fun, safe environment with a daily schedule designed to develop children’s confidence and independence.

Qualifications

• CDA, TCC, Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree in early childhood education, or similar required.
• 1–3 years of teaching or assistant teaching experience in licensed early childhood education, Preschool, PreK, or daycare program required.
• Knowledge of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily class functions of a group of children.
• Assess each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis.
• Implement approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule per Primrose Balanced Learning curriculum.
• Maintain an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages exploration and decision making.
• Provide verbal recognition and consistent expectations for behavior.
• Attend required staff meetings and school functions.

Benefits

• $1,000 Signing Bonus
• Hourly compensation is $15.50 to $19.50, depending on experience and education
• Set Schedule Monday- Friday
  • 8:00am-5:00pm or 8:30am-5:30pm

Responsibilities

• Is responsible for the overall supervision and daily class functions of a group of children.
• Assesses each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis.
• Implements the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule in accordance with the Primrose Balanced Learning® curriculum and programming..
• Maintains an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore and make decisions with confidence.
• Provides verbal recognition and acceptance to children while providing clear and consistent expectations for the children's behavior.
• Attends all required staff meetings, workshops and/or school functions.
• Observes all rules and regulations at Primrose School at Macland Pointe, and the local, state, or national regulatory agencies pertaining to the health, safety and care of children.

Qualifications

• CDA, TCC, Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree in early childhood education, or similar required
• 1- 3 years of previous teaching or assistant teaching position in a licensed early childhood education, Preschool, PreK, or daycare program required
• Knowledge of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children
• Must meet basic requirements of local childcare regulatory agency
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.
