The Lead Preschool Teacher is responsible for preparing and executing daily activities and lesson plans for children, meeting all licensing requirements for the classroom. Incorporate a child's home, language, and cultural background into center activities. Provide opportunities and encouragement for children to acquire and expand their vocabulary, speaking clearly and respectfully at a level they understand.
Inspire Development Centers provides Early Childhood Education (ECE) and social services to over 4,000 children across more than 25 Child Development Centers in Washington. The organization operates under various federal and state-funded programs, including RHS, MSHS, ECEAP, and EHS, with specific regulations to adhere to. A significant portion of children speak Spanish as their first language.
The Lead Preschool Teacher reports to the Center Manager and collaborates with the Assistant Preschool Teacher, School Readiness Liaison, Early Learning Mentor Coaches, Center Staff, ECE Specialists, and parents. The role includes guiding and directing the Assistant Preschool Teacher.
Develop developmentally appropriate curriculum plans for the preschool classroom. Formulate lesson plans for classroom activities and home learning tasks. Evaluate and document children's progress.
