Job summary

Academy of Excellence Learning Center in Lancaster, CA is seeking a passionate Preschool Teacher to join a nurturing team and support early childhood learners during their formative years. The ideal candidate has experience with preschool ages, strong communication skills, and a desire to contribute to a supportive educational community.

Qualifications

• At least 12 units in Early Childhood Education.
• California CDP Teacher level or higher preferred.
• Prior experience working with preschool or early childhood-aged children.
• Strong knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain.
• Warm, patient, and nurturing demeanor with a genuine passion for teaching.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children, parents, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement age-appropriate, engaging lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment for preschool-aged children.
• Monitor and document children’s developmental progress and milestones.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student growth and daily activities.
• Supervise children during classroom activities, meals, and outdoor play.
• Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to support a positive learning community.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked classroom environment.
