Job summary

The Jewish Community Center of Greater Baltimore is seeking a Lead Teacher for the Stoler Early Learning Center at the Owings Mills campus. You will nurture 6 weeks through kindergarten, guiding constructive, hands-on learning in a caring JCC environment.

Qualifications

• 90-hour Certification or higher in early childhood education or related field.
• MSDE/Childcare compliance knowledge preferred.
• Experience in constructivist, child-centered setting desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe environment with active supervision and keep children in sight and sound.
• Reflect on children’s growth and learning, adapting activities to themes.
• Facilitate learning through centers and open-ended provocations.
• Document children's play and learning daily (journals, blogs, newsletters).
• Offer varied learning opportunities for multiple styles and independent choice.
• Maintain classroom management with positive guidance and structure.
• Support social, emotional, cognitive, and Jewish studies development.
