Catholic Diocese of Grand Rapids Schools – St. Paul the Apostle School in Grand Rapids, Michigan is seeking a full-time Lead Preschool 4 Teacher for our preschool program. The ideal candidate will foster a nurturing, hands-on learning environment and lead with a passion for integrating Catholic faith into daily activities.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30am–3:30pm, 10-month year, with year-round salary. Benefits include health insurance, retirement plan, and student tuition discounts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with early childhood emphasis or an associate degree with early childhood credentials.
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to be trained (employer will pay for training).
• Commitment to fostering the faith of the children.
• Excellent classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
• The candidate should be Catholic and uphold the teachings of the Catholic Church.
• Must have or be willing to take Virtus - Protecting God's Children Training

Responsibilities

• Works closely with assistants and support staff to ensure consistency in classroom management and lesson execution.
• Plans and implements age-appropriate experiences that advance intellectual, social, emotional, and physical development, incorporating Christ-centered teachings and values.
• Observes and assesses children’s progress, documents learning milestones, and tailors instruction to meet individual needs.
• Builds strong relationships with families through regular communication, report cards, and parent-teacher conferences.
• Implements positive reinforcement strategies to support children’s emotional regulation and social skills while promoting Catholic values.
