Job summary

Impulse Space in Redondo Beach, CA, seeks a Lead Process and Precision Cleaning Engineer to build and run a scalable cleaning operation supporting growing manufacturing needs. You will develop precision cleaning processes, drive safety, quality, throughput, and continuous improvement, and establish robust, repeatable workflows while scaling the department with production demand.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required and 5+ years in precision cleaning or related manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience developing and maintaining precision cleaning processes for aerospace materials and hardware.
• Experience in high-reliability industries preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead the Precision Cleaning team.
• Establish standardized cleaning processes, work instructions, and SOPs.
• Generate technical documentation such as test plans and qualification reports.
• Create and maintain training programs, competency matrices, and certification requirements.
• Identify equipment, tooling, chemicals, fixtures, and infrastructure to scale the department.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and Design to ensure design intent is met.
• Drive continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
• Work with EHS to uphold safety principles.
• Develop a long-term roadmap for the department's growth.
