Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Precast Concrete Inspector II to lead plant quality control for precast and prestressed production and to act as the chief external eye on owner and agency inspections. You will verify prestressing operations, review mix designs and strength records, and decide to accept or reject finished products while maintaining PCI and DOT compliant QC records.

Travel to multiple plants may be required.

Qualifications

• PCI Level II quality control certification is required.
• Minimum 2+ years in a certified precast or prestressed plant.
• Familiarity with PCI and DOT specifications is essential.

Responsibilities

• Verify prestressing operations including strand certification and tensioning.
• Review batch tickets, mix designs, and strength records.
• Accept or reject finished products per specs and shop drawings.
• Maintain plant QC records for PCI and DOT programs.
• Supervise Level I inspectors and assign daily coverage.
