Job summary

The Pillars Christian Learning Centers is seeking a dedicated Lead Pre-K Teacher to support a safe, nurturing classroom, partnering with the Lead Teacher to foster development in early learners. You will help execute a faith-based curriculum within a supportive team and family-friendly hours.

Responsibilities include guiding activities, building positive relationships, ensuring safety, and adapting lessons to each child’s needs while modeling Christian values and professional care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet HHS minimum education and experience requirements.
• Prior teaching experience preferred.
• Meet DFPS Licensing requirements and annual training.

Responsibilities

• Support daily activities that promote development through games, arts, crafts, music, storytelling.
• Build strong, respectful relationships with children through courtesy, patience and acceptance.
• Maintain classroom safety, order, and routine by reinforcing expectations.
• Facilitate engaging instructional experiences through observation, questioning, play and discovery.
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs and interests.
• Greet children warmly and assist with transitions into the school environment.
• Provide age-appropriate care including feeding, dressing and diapering as needed.
• Promote proper hygiene and healthy eating habits.
