You will plan and implement age-appropriate lessons, support students individually or in small groups, communicate with families, and collaborate with peers to maintain a nurturing, safe classroom. Strong organizational skills and patience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Early Childhood Teaching Certification (TX) required.
• Criminal history background check required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that provides instruction in basic skills and social development.
• Establish clear objectives for lessons and lead instruction in all activities.
• Assist students individually or in small groups with reading, writing, language, numbers and computer activities.
• Adapt classroom activities and materials to support classroom goals and objectives.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues on a regular basis.
• Maintain accurate records and participate in training and staff meetings.
